Opened in March 2013, this offers terminally-ill patients a safe and dignified space to spend their last days with family and friends. This was a longterm goal finally achieved through the hard work of fundraising and donations. The project cost €140,000 as a donation by Friends of the Hospital, while the space existed as a shell. The area also has access to its own private garden. It provides a quiet, comfortable space for end of life with facilities for friends and family to stay as well.
We know from feedback received that this room is greatly appreciated. It meets the intended needs of the care and respect by a terminally-ill patient during this difficult time.
It is only through generous donations by you that this room can continue to be made available to those who need it most. Click here to donate.
